Sending endless love to all the beautiful friends, steadfast family, all my teachers, ex-boyfriends, the strangers I met along the way, all the brave and inspirational women, and everyone who has supported and shaped me into the specific version of myself that I am. Sometimes I have more happiness and love in my heart than I can necessarily write in an Instagram caption. ⁣ ⁣ Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️ #valentinesday #love #❤️ #valentine #iamfiena
Living her best life. I’ll miss the little stinker when I’m travelling, but there’s all the world to see and the world is waiting... 🌎 But I love her I JUST LOVE THE STINK OF HER
It’s taken months of saving and careful choosing and spending; this is the next room to finally start looking complete. I haven’t yet put up artwork, posters, shelving, but it’s getting there.⁣ ⁣ Most of my timber furniture comes from a brilliant and hardworking family business based in High Wycombe. They hand-make every custom piece from reclaimed timber, and part of me doesn’t want to tell you about them because I want to keep them for myself but if you do need furniture and are into a rustic /boho /up-cycled /reclaimed style (why wouldn’t you be amirite?) then have a look at @antiquesandmoreltd ⁣ ⁣ The rubber plant is a boy and needs a name, suggestions very welcome ⤵️
It’s been about 6 months since I stopped using conventional shampoo and switched to shampoo bars. It’s sad that plastic shampoo bottles are the norm, that they last a few months in our bathroom and then a bloody hundred thousand years on our planet, and that most of us will go through hundreds of bottles in our lifetimes (+conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser, all the minis and freebies, not to even get started on food and drink). Shampoo bars may not be for everyone, but there are a few other things you can do if you want to reduce your plastic: buy large bulk bottles that last longer, finish one before you buy another, so you don’t end up collecting and throwing away lots of half used bottles, rotate a shampoo bar in e.g. every other wash, and avoid mini bottles. I follow the wonderful @plasticfreemermaid who shares well-informed and sobering truths about the harm caused by plastic and our ‘throwaway’ culture, and also wonderful insights/tips/inspo for doing the best you can to reduce it. Plus she’s a mermaid. (I also extend these principles to food, drink, clothes and cleaning products but I won’t go into all that now.) ⁣ My current shampoo bar is eucalyptus, lemon and mint from @clovellysoap 😋⁣ They’re made in the UK and you can buy them on Amazon. ⁣ PS can you tell that I just cut my own fringe with the kitchen scissors?
More pieces of Poland 🎨 And if you want something to bend your mind, Wroclaw is pronounced Vrrart-swarv 🤓

“I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me, too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.” ⁣ ⁣ ~Frida Kahlo⁣ ⁣ #WHPwanderlust

“Live beneath your means. Return everything you borrow. Admit when you make a mistake. Give the things you don’t use to charity. Do something nice for someone without letting them know. Listen more, talk less. Take a walk every day. Stop comparing yourself to others. Show up on time. Be kind to people. Be kind to unkind people. Take time to be alone. Cultivate good manners. Be humble. Accept that life isn’t fair. Learn from the past. Plan for the future. Live in the present. Find adventure in every day. Fall in love as often as you can✨✨✨
